FREE BOOKS FOR KIDS!

If you have a child from 0-5 years old, register them today for free monthly books.

Eight - twelve weeks after your child’s registration has been completed, they will receive their first book in the mail, 'The Little Engine That Could'. Books arrive in the mail monthly until your child's 5th birthday.

The Lynchburg Imagination Library is thrilled to partner with local family-serving organizations to encourage a love of reading from a young age. Our goal is to ensure every child in Lynchburg has the opportunity to receive books at no cost.

Our partnerships with organizations like Virginia Baptist Hospital, Head Start, and the Lynchburg Public Library are vital to these efforts. Their commitment of time and resources makes our community stronger, and their support is instrumental in getting books into the hands of children.

  • Virginia Baptist Hospital: Through our Born to Read program, we ensure every infant born at the hospital receives their very first book—a board book designed specifically for babies—along with easy-to-access registration information for the Imagination Library.

  • Pre-k: We are currently working with Lynchburg City Schools to enroll all of their eligible students. We recently enrolled 150 over a three day registration event!

  • Lynchburg Public Library: The Lynchburg Public Library goes above and beyond to support our mission. They provide space for our services, advocate for our programs, and help us spread the word so families can access the books and potential supporters can give or volunteer.

We're always looking for new partnerships. Whether you're a family service organization that would like us to help with on-site registrations, a community member, or a business that wants to support the Lynchburg Imagination Library, we would love to hear from you.

Please email our Program Administrator Morgan Hall. She is looking forward to speaking with you.
